P's in a Pod: Help

P's in a Pod is an MP3 audio podcast made available to you free of charge. We have provided several ways for you to listen or subscribe to the podcast. Please see below for the different options.

Play on Website | iTunes Subscribe | Email Subscribe | RSS/XML Feed


Play on Website

You can play each podcast directly from this website by doing the following:
  1. Click on the "Play on Website" link in the right column of this page.
  2. Find the podcast you would like to listen to and click on the "Play Podcast" link.
    • The podcast might begin playing right away.
    • If asked whether you want to "Save" or "Open" the file:
      • Choose "Save" if you prefer to download the podcast to your computer and listen to at your convenience.
      • Choose "Open" if you prefer to listen to the podcast through your web browser.

iTunes Subscribe


You can subscribe to the podcast through iTunes and either listen to each podcast through the iTunes player or transfer them to your iPod.

If you do not currently have the iTunes software installed on our computer you can download/install it for free at: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Subscribe to P's in a Pod:
  1. Click on the "iTunes Subscribe" link in the right column of this page.
    • This will cause iTunes to open and the P's in a Pod podcast will be loaded on the screen.
  2. Click on the "Subscribe" button to have iTunes automatically download new episodes of P's in the Pod as they are available.
Listen to P's in a Pod with iTunes Player:
  1. Click the "Podcasts" link as shown in the below screen shot.

  2. After clicking on the "Podcasts" link you will see a list of all podcasts you are subscribed to appear as in the image below.

  3. Select a podcast in this list and click the "Play" button as shown below to play the podcast.
Transfer P's in a Pod to your iPod with iTunes:
  1. Open iTunes
  2. Connect your iPod to your computer with the USB cable provided.

    If this is you first time connecting your iPod to your computer please take a minute to register your ipod.

    After your are done registering the following screen will appear.


  3. Uncheck the "Manually manage music and videos" check box as shown below.


  4. This will cause the following screen to appear:


    This window informs you that iTunes will automatically synch your iPod with your iTunes library.

  5. Click the "OK button to accept this message.

  6. Click the "Apply" button in the bottom-right corner.


  7. iTunes will synch everything in your iTunes library to your iPod.

  8. You can now disconnect your iPod by clicking the eject button as shown below.

  9. You are done! Disconnect the usb cable from your iPod.

  10. You will find all of your downloaded P's in a Pod podcasts on your iPod.

    The next time you want to update your iPod all you have to do is open iTunes and connect your iPod with the usb cable. The iPod will automatically synch with your iTunes library when connected.

Email Subscribe


You can have new episodes of P's in a Pod automatically emailed to you by doing the following:
  1. Click on the "Email Subscribe" link in the right column of this page.
  2. Enter your email address and click the "Subscribe" button. An "Email Subscription Request" window will pop-up.
  3. Type the authentication text into the box.
  4. Click the "Complete Subscription Request" button.
  5. Your request will be accepted.
  6. Check your email. You will receive an email from "Feedburner Email Subscriptions".
  7. Click on the link in the email to activate your subscription.

    Congratulations, you are now subscribed to P's in a Pod. You will receive an email each time a new episode is available.
