IT SUPPORT ANALYST

 

Basic Function:

Under general supervision, the IT Support Analyst supports and maintains desktop computer systems, peripherals and office equipment in the office and at remote farm-clients.  This position will act as a first-level resource for installing, maintaining and updating selected software and hardware products.  Additionally, the IT Support Analyst assists in implementing practices to effectively utilize resources.  The IT Support Analyst must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, to the client while maintaining confidentiality.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting skills in Microsoft Windows
  • Troubleshooting skills in Microsoft Office and Office 365
  • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting printers, faxes, copiers and other office equipment
  • Basic knowledge and troubleshooting skills of office networking, including network interface cards, switches, routers and network cabling
  • Familiar with basic office telephone (VOIP) systems
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed
  • Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference
  • Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office 2016, Office 365.
  • Printers, faxes, copiers and other office equipment
  • Networking including wireless, switches, routers, cards and cabling
  • Basic telephone (PBX and VOIP) systems, wiring and troubleshooting
  • IP cameras, time clock systems, mobile devices and small NAS devices
  • Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
  • HP desktop and server hardware is a plus
  • Virtual environments, specifically VMware is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail in planning, reporting and execution of work

 

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree in computer related field preferred OR
  • Equivalent education/work experience OR
  • Appropriate combination of education and experience

Job skills required

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables and limited standardization.

  • Ability to perform in highly interruptive and fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work under frequent time pressures.

  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs as necessary.

  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods of time.

  • High attention to detail in planning, reporting and execution of assigned work.

  • Must have good time management skills for daily task and projects
