Overview

We provide outstanding veterinary service by combining science with health and production and a commitment to continuous improvement.  With ten veterinarians and a multi-discipline support staff, Carthage Veterinary Service has a strong foundation of experience to provide a multitude of services domestically and internationally.  Our veterinarians have over 150 years of experience and are active in the livestock industry. We work to respect your values by dedicating timely veterinary service to you.  We strive to be in-barn and on- farm with our clients to best understand your health and production needs. We work with you to develop strategies and services for providing quality production and animal care.  Our longest clients have been with us for over 25 years. We welcome new customers and embrace the opportunity to offer good service to you.

Established in 1980, Carthage Veterinary Service, Ltd. (CVS) provides consulting to independent swine producers and production systems throughout the United States, the Americas, and Asia. In 2013, the practice established a consulting business based in China focused on education, training, farm construction, and systems management. The CVS practice has an active research division, Carthage Innovative Swine Solutions (CISS), which has published findings from health and nutrition trials that are implemented throughout the industry today.  Our investment in quality educational facilities enables us to provide excellent training itineraries with on and off-farm experiences for learners at our Carthage Learning and Development Center (CLDC).
