Parts Customer Service Representative

The Parts Customer Service Representative will be responsible for communications to and from customers regarding the ordering of parts equipment and other supplies. This position will work closely with farm managers and maintenance staff to ensure the correct parts and equipment are ordered for farm repair and scheduled maintenance.

This position requires on the job training and a person who is willing to learn new products and terminology while being trained on the everyday processes. Must pay close attention to details and have ability to evaluate options to determine best solution for clients.

Must have a positive, friendly and outgoing attitude, and self-motivated. Wants to take ownership of the task at hand and is committed to following through to ensure client satisfaction. Must be able to multitask, handle urgent phone calls, out of the ordinary requests, analytical thinking, and a fast-paced environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a detailed understanding of parts products and services offered by CVS
  • Develop a detailed understanding of product manufacturers within the industry
  • Work closely with swine clients to determine demand for parts and equipment
  • Compare models and specs from multiple vendors to determine most efficient and cost-effective products
  • Receive calls and emails from clients and respond in a timely manner
  • Process orders and generate Sales order and Purchase orders as needed
  • Resolve all customer complaints in a timely, efficient and least costly manner
  • Assists with unloading, opening, verifying the count and stowing of incoming freight
  • Cross train within department to fill in as needed for departmental absences
  • Assist with regularly scheduled physical inventories
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Possess good interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess good math, analytical, mechanical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to operate tractor
  • Able to lift up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Possess proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook

 

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with swine farm products and equipment preferred.
  • Any specialized mechanical experience is a plus.
