CVS Veterinary Internship
Carthage Veterinary Service, Ltd. offers opportunities to veterinary students to participate in a veterinary internship program. Students will gain experience by learning new skills that enhances knowledge of the swine industry, standard farm practices, and veterinary medicine. Carthage Veterinary Service will be a catalyst in providing the student with a positive learning experience that enhances the intern’s knowledge.

Internship Program
Our internship program is open to all full-time veterinary students who have completed at least two full years of school and are studying veterinary medicine. Student housing is provided by the company. All students will be assigned a project at the start of their internship and provide regular updates and a comprehensive presentation of results at the conclusion of the program. The company provides activities throughout the program to encourage networking, team building, and overall community engagement.

Time Commitment
• Summer break
• 40-50 hours per week

Key Dates
• Applications accepted year round
• Screening begins in November for following summer
• Internships awarded and confirmed in January
