Douglas D. Groth, DVM
Partner and VeterinarianDr. Doug Groth is a partner and veterinarian in Carthage Veterinary Service, LTD and is active in all aspects of the business. He joined the CVS in 2003. From 2000-2003, he was Manager, Swine Technical Services for Schering-Plough Animal Health, supporting the sales force with customer’s technical needs. Prior to 2000, Dr. Groth managed two sow operations as part of his own practice which provided veterinary services to mid-size operators in the Midwest.
Dr. Groth obtained his D.V.M. from Iowa State University in 1997 and has a B.S. in Animal Science also from Iowa State.
Doug is responsible for the overall health and biosecurity for the boar studs and animal care programs for the Carthage System and consults with external swine clients. Areas of focus also include the transportation system, truck wash, boar studs and multiplication operations.
